Brand McKenzie is once again pushing the boundaries of wallpaper design with Heart Deco, its new collection. Founded by Kerry McKenzie and Richard Brand, the young company saw great success with the lush tones and wild imagination of Tropical Daze, its first collection. Now, with Heart Deco, it is embracing the flamboyant spirit of the 1920s.

A key feature of Brand McKenzie’s wallpapers – besides their vibrant designs – is that they’re digitally printed. This means that they are not only made to order, but that you can also specify bespoke versions of the designs to match your scheme. “If you want to change the background colour of the paper to tie in with a cushion, for example, this can be done for a one-off artwork fee,” explains Kerry. “Once you have approved the sample, you can order as many rolls as you want for no additional cost. With Heart Deco, there’s no limit to your imagination!"

The hero paper of the Heart Deco collection is Sea Life, a playful design that takes a deep dive into an imaginative underwater world where the inhabitants smoke pipes, ride bikes and relax in baths whilst wearing a variety of hats. "It's the small details that make Sea Life the standout design of the Heart Deco collection," continues Kerry. "If you look carefully, fish scales have been replaced by art deco patterns and spikes have transformed into feathers."

Sea Life is available in five colourways, Aqua & Orange, Aqua & Sand (main image), Charcoal & Pink, Teal & Coral, and Navy.
